Optical character recognition, usually abbreviated to OCR, is the mechanical or electronic conversion of scanned images of handwritten, typewritten or printed text into machine-encoded text.

Of course being a freeware pattern recognition software it has it’s downsizes.We’re gonna give you some tips to get around these problems:

• make sure the images are medium or high resolution
• if you don’t have a scanner , use a medium (or higher) resolution camera and take the document photos in lighted areas
• SimpleOCR recognizes handwriting within its limitations, so just between us use this feature only as a last resort
• if you use the handwriting recognition system make sure that the handwriting is intelligible at least for you ; just as a comparison if you don’t dig it SimpleOCR  won’t be able too!
